When the Promotional Layer Speaks the Community's Language
The AEP account's posts are distinguishable from sincere agentic AI advocacy only by their incentive structure, not their content. Calls to "imagine a world where we control our economic destiny" use the same identity construction — AI agents as autonomous economic actors — that runs through legitimate discussions of agentic frameworks and multi-agent orchestration at production scale. The promotional campaign did not invent this language; it found it already mature and adopted it wholesale, which is the point: a community whose vocabulary has stabilized into shared shorthand has handed promotional actors a free pass.
The agent memory and session continuity problems that practitioners are genuinely working through are now harder to surface in a feed colonized by content that performs the same concerns without engaging them. Communities that anchor credibility to concrete technical failure modes rather than shared ideological framing are structurally harder to infiltrate — the AEP posts never once describe an engineering problem, which is the tell.
